Dr. Ellie Stevens is the AWI founder and Executive Director. She is a retired USAF Major and board certified Psychiatrist who started AWI through her own journey of a traumatic brain injury and PTSD, recognizing the importance of community and the devastation of isolation. Ellie is also a published author and you can read more about her book Unshackled. Her husband, Dan is the Director of Operations and is a former US Army Special Forces "Green Beret" with operations and technology experience spanning digital transformations, enterprise strategy and AI software development.
